As the COVID-19 virus continues to affect the world and the communities we work and live in, the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is doing its part to help combat this pandemic. The TDOC offender population has stepped up to manufacture and donate PPE’s across the state including in Waynesboro. In addition to donations already made, on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020, 150 masks were donated to the Wayne County Jail.

In the wake of this pandemic, offenders at Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX) have been manufacturing protective face masks, and protective gowns and face masks are being manufactured at West Tennessee State Penitentiary (WTSP).

Thousands of masks and gowns have been made and donated since the beginning of April to those most in need.
