Posted

The Collinwood Trojans put plenty of points on the board Friday night at their Homecoming Game, but couldn't keep pace with Perry County in a high-scoring Week 10 matchup, falling 68-51.

Despite the loss, the Trojans turned in a big offensive night behind quarterback Luke Holt. Holt completed 26 of 41 passes for 377 yards and five touchdowns while adding 82 yards and another touchdown on 16 carries.

Aiden Daniel was Holt's leading target, hauling in eight passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Bryant Hill caught two passes for 36 yards and a touchdown, while Cole Wilkins added two receptions for 15 yards and a score.

Bennett Rich also had a strong performance, catching nine passes for 102 yards. He also contributed on the ground with a 16-yard rush and scored a touchdown for the Trojans.

Gentry Hart finished with two receptions for 23 yards and added a successful two-point conversion. Ryan Karcher rushed for six yards and caught a pass for eight yards, while Wesson Bromley added a six-yard reception.

Defensively, Holt led Collinwood with six tackles. Daniel and Rich each recorded five tackles, while Ace Moore finished with four tackles, including one for loss. Bromley had three tackles and a tackle for loss, Ethan Daniel recorded three tackles, and Caleb Wright added two tackles and a tackle for loss.

Hunter Montgomery contributed on special teams, connecting on all four of his extra-point attempts and adding a 20-yard field goal.

The Trojans showed plenty of offensive firepower throughout the contest, but Perry County's offense proved too much to overcome as Collinwood closed out Week 10 on the wrong side of a 68-51 shootout.
