Sunday, December 10th, was the perfect night for Collinwood’s annual Christmas parade. This was the second year for the parade to be held at night, and it began right on time at 7:00 p.m.
The parade was originally scheduled for Saturday, December 9th, but rain and wind forced the Collinwood Beautification Board to move it to Sunday, December 10th. Although the air was cool and crisp, it provided the perfect setting for a parade, with no raindrops in sight.
The beautiful floats were decorated with the theme in mind, “Old Fashioned Christmas.” Along with the floats, there were all kinds of emergency vehicles, horses, and lots of ATVs. The Collinwood High School Marching Band provided Christmas music to really set the mood for the night. The Grand Marshals were the Collinwood Trojanettes basketball team.
The Collinwood parade was definitely a success, and all who made it happen did a great job.
