INVITATION TO SUBMIT BIDS AND NOTICE
The City of Waynesboro, Tennessee will accept bids for the construction of an asphalt handicap accessible parking area at the Waynesboro Sportsplex. Bidders shall submit sealed bids no later than 4:00 p.m. (CST), Friday November 8, 2019, to City of Waynesboro City Hall, 122 Public Square East, Waynesboro, TN 38485, Attn: John Hickman, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids will be presented at the Commission meeting on Monday November 11, 2019 at 5:30p.m. to be awarded. Bid specs are as follows:
Sportsplex Handicap Accessible Parking Area: Lump Sum price to include: widening 240 ft x 12 ft entrance to 240 ft x 22 ft, including necessary removal/disposal, 6” limestone base; paving entire 240 ft x 22 ft entrance with 2” asphalt surface hot-mix (411-E Mix); constructing new Handicap Accessible Parking Area of approx. 64 ft x 79 ft, plus approx. 30 ft extension of entrance drive tying new lot to entrance drive, to include necessary removal/disposal, 6” limestone base, 2” surface asphalt hot-mix, as well as striping, signage, and wheel stops to establish 6 handicap accessible parking spaces.
Sealed envelopes shall be clearly marked with Sportsplex Parking Bid and include bidder’s company name, contractor license number, classification, and expiration.
The City of Waynesboro reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or informalities, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
