Another residential fire that completely destroyed a Waynesboro home took place on Thursday, June 4th. Topsy Station 7 was once again called out, along with Ovilla Station 9, at approximately 10:55 a.m. on Thursday. The report filed by incident commander Ron Van Heusen stated that when firefighters arrived on scene at 624 Hurricane Creek Road, the house fire was fully involved. The report stated that the fire was fully contained by 12:05 p.m., but the home, owned by James. H. Berry, III, appeared to be a total loss.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
