All three of Wayne County’s cities, Collinwood, Waynesboro, and Clifton, will be hosting Halloween events in the coming days, where little trick-or-treaters can rack up on candy and treats, and the whole family can enjoy an evening of fun!

The first Halloween event will be hosted by the Clifton Chamber of Commerce. Main Street in Clifton will be closed to traffic for this special event on Saturday, October 28, from 4pm until 7pm. The theme for the event will be “Thankful for the Children.” Businesses and individuals will be set up for trunk-or-treating, and everyone is invited to bring the young ones to the river city for a family-friendly evening of fun.

Both Waynesboro and Collinwood will be hosting Halloween events on the big night itself, Tuesday, October 31. The City of Waynesboro and merchants on the square invite everyone to join them in creating a fun, family-friendly evening for the community to get out and enjoy pure old-fashioned haunted Halloween fun. Beginning at 5pm, storefront trick-or-treating and trunk-or-treats will be set up all in the same location…the Waynesboro square!

The City of Collinwood will once again be hosting Halloween festivities of all kinds for family-friendly fun. Broadway Street will be closed from 1st Avenue to Hasti Mart beginning at 5pm on Halloween night, Tuesday, October 31. Merchants and other groups will be set up for trick-or-treating and trunk-or-treating, and watch out for Collinwood people in disguise as Halloween characters. There will be a costume contest as well, along with a  kid-friendly Halloween movie.

The Collinwood Beautification Board will again be hosting a Halloween haunted spookhouse, “The Darkness,” at the Collinwood Recreation Building on Halloween night – rain or shine! The recreation building will also be the site of another costume contest and more trunk-or-treating.

Anyone looking for some family-friendly Halloween fun will have no trouble finding it in Wayne County in the next few days. Everyone is invited!
