A fire broke out in a garage very near a home on Shawnettee Road on Friday, November 10. Holly Creek Volunteer Fire Department was first on the scene and they were able to keep the fire contained before it spread to any homes. The fire did reportedly get so hot that it melted the underpinning on a nearby mobile home.
The garage was a total loss. The origin of the fire is still unknown at this time.
