Students from Frank Hughes High School in Clifton, TN, along with Keep the Tennessee River Beautiful and Wayne County Beautiful, recently participated in the Great American Cleanup on the Tennessee River.
These impressive students learned about the Tennessee River and the impact of litter in our waterways. They collected 1,730 pounds of debris, 320 pounds of tires, and 495 pounds of recyclables, which were processed at the Wayne County Solid Waste Recycling Facility.
These students, their teacher Mr. Fish, Kathleen, and Isaac are to be commended for a fun, educational, exciting, and rewarding day!
