The Wayne County Museum was recently honored with the donation of a framed print that hung in the woodworking and cabinet shop of Clyde Walker, Sr. since the early 1900’s. The donation was made by Susan and James Walker and will be used in a new exhibit that will display some of the hand tools and patterns that were used to make furniture and cabinets during this period.

The print is titled, “Densmorse’s Handy Lumber Table,” and was used in the shop to determine the number of board feet in boards of known dimension. The handy reference was copyrighted in 1920.

Jerry Duren, a member of the Friends of the Museum, is shown accepting the print from Mr. and Mrs. Walker.
