Family and Consumer Sciences Education 12-25-19

   UT Extension Wayne County and Wayne County Coordinated School Health would like to thank the Wayne County Schools and Board of Education for participating in Walk Across Tennessee. This is a six week walking program that many school staff members participated in during October and November. All those involved walked a total of 8363.44 miles in the six weeks. This year there were 60 participates in the six-week walking program. GREAT JOB!  The winning team was CMS “Twisted Sisters” with members Sarah Morris, Sandra Green, Becky Balentine and Donna Dorsey with a total of 1,122 miles. The winning individual was Sandra Green at CMS with 330 miles. All of these individuals received a Dick’s gift card courtesy of Wayne County Bank for their hard work and determination. We would like to congratulate all who participated in the program. As we all know, physical activity is a very important part of living a healthy lifestyle. Keep walking Wayne County!
