Deer hunting remains a “wildly” popular sport in Wayne County, with avid hunters of all ages getting in the woods as often as they can to try and take down the whitetails that roam our county in abundance. The most popular deer hunting season – gun/muzzleloader/archery – began on November 23rd and will run until January 5th.
The Wayne County News has always been proud to publish photos of local hunters with their prized deer. Bring your photos in to the news office of you and your deer, turkey, fish, or any other game you want to show off, and we will be glad to put them in the paper free of charge. In our opinion, all hunters deserve to have their bragging rights put into print!
