Collinwood American Legion Post 254 member Bobby “Pop” Burns was recently recognized for achieving 50 continuous years of membership in the American Legion. Pop was presented with a Certificate of Achievement from both the American Legion National Headquarters and the Department of Tennessee.  He was also presented with a plaque from Post 254 honoring his 50 years of service along with a gift card from Cracker Barrel, his favorite place to eat.

Pictured is Pop (left) receiving his National Certificate presented by Post 254 Commander Dennis Creecy.  Pop is a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and is a Retired Army National Guard First Sergeant. Pop is certainly to be applauded for “still serving,” and hopefully he will continue to have many more years of service.
