Mr. Christopher Bevis was recently promoted to the position of General Manager at The Wayne County News.

Bevis began working at The News in 1993 in the production and delivery department. As the newspaper industry became more digitized, Mr. Bevis was trained and taught himself several aspects of graphic design. He was ultimately given the position of Graphic Designer for The News, in addition to keeping up with the production and delivery responsibilities.

Daniel Richardson, CEO of Magic Valley Publishing and Publisher of The Wayne County News, commented after Bevis’ promotion, “Chris Bevis absolutely has the experience and good character to fill the position of General Manager at The News. I have faith that he will continue to move our paper in a forward direction. I’m really excited to see what the future holds.”

Mr. Bevis went on to say that he is looking forward to continuing to work with the other Wayne County News employees: Emma McWilliams, Writer/Assistant Editor; Amy Butler, Billing/Bookkeeping, Kara Turnbow, Sales; and McKinley Heard, Social Media/Office Assistant.
