Wayne County Community Outreach, Inc. is hosting a benefit on Saturday, September 9th to raise funds for the rebuilding of the Beech Creek Fire Hall.

The benefit is set to be held at the Wayne County Bank parking lot in downtown Clifton. Things kick off with a car show from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. An entry fee will be charged, with a 50/50 payout and bonus money possible.

Free live music will begin at 12 noon with Cameron Blackburn, followed by Crooked Creek Band from 2 until 4 p.m.

A silent auction will also be held from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Barbecue plates, hot dogs, and drinks will be sold all day.

Wayne County Community Outreach, Inc. is a nonprofit organization formed to benefit those in need in Wayne County, especially in the wake of natural disasters like the tornado that struck the Beech Creek community on March 1 of this year. The Beech Creek Fire Hall & Community Center was destroyed in the tornado, and the Community Outreach group has made the rebuilding of the fire hall their first major funding project. Members of Wayne County Community Outreach hope to eventually have at least one person on their board from each community in Wayne County so that specific community needs can be addressed in future natural disasters.

Everyone is invited to come out on Saturday to support this great cause!
