Wayne County is sparkling and shining with Christmas décor, and a great way to join in the festivities is to stop by the two locations in the county that have beautifully decorated Christmas trees on display.

The annual “Festival of Trees” is underway once again at the Wayne County Courthouse on the square. Beautifully decorated trees, sponsored by local churches, businesses, and organizations, are on display on all three floors of the building. Everyone is invited to come take a walk throughout the gorgeous trees, and to read the information provided by the diverse organizations that decorated them. The trees are on display Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

In Collinwood, the Wayne County Welcome Center is once again hosting what has become an annual event, the “Wonderland of Trees.” Sponsored by the Welcome Center and the Collinwood Beautification Board, beautifully decorated trees are set up in the Welcome Center for everyone to enjoy. Space limitations do limit the number of trees they have room for, but oh boy, the ones they have are fabulous! The Welcome Center, located on Broadway Street in Collinwood, is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Everyone is invited to have a look at both lovely displays. These trees represent different organizations that all have a goal of making Christmas even more beautiful!
