CHS Winter Guard Ends Season as Champion

Collinwood High School Winter Guard has had an extremely impressive season! The dedicated Winter Guard athletes competed in five competitions. With numerous competitors at each competition, Collinwood High School secured three 2nd place finishes and two 1st place finishes. Their last competition, Friday, April 1, 2022, was a phenomenal end to the ‘21-’22 season.

In the Novice Class, Blue Division, of the SCGC Color Guard Championships, Collinwood High School Winter Guard competed against seven other teams. They performed their routine, which they have put countless hours into perfecting, flawlessly. Their flags flew in beautiful synchronization. Their rifle work was sharp. Their meticulous movements paid off in delicious victory!

The CHS team beamed with pride while accepting their coveted award. Families, friends, and others in attendance erupted into a loud, congratulatory applause. Collinwood High School Winter Guard brought home hardware and a banner to display at the school. We cannot wait to see the feats that Collinwood High School Winter Guard will continue to accomplish in the future.
