A fatal accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23rd in the south part of Wayne County. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Vincent Bonelli, age 69, of Iron City was walking across the road from his home on Chisholm Road (Highway 13 South) when he was struck and killed by a vehicle traveling northbound on Chisholm Road.
The trooper’s report states that the driver of the Chevrolet pickup that struck Mr. Bonelli was Brian Butler, age 30, of Collinwood. The report goes on to state that there are no criminal charges pending as a result of the accident.
