Waynesboro’s annual Christmas Parade was a big success last Saturday night, December 6th. Presented by the Waynesboro Rotary Club, “The Magic of Christmas” was the theme of the parade. The Waynesboro square was lit up and decorated in a truly magical fashion, and parade-goers lined the streets all the way from the parade’s starting point in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot to its end at Wayne County High School. Beautifully decorated floats, ATVs, horses, and other parade regulars did not disappoint!
Christmas on the Square was an event separate from the parade but complementing it perfectly. Food, crafts, gifts, and more were available all around the square up until parade time, and visitors had the opportunity to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and tour the Festival of Trees in the Wayne County Administrative Building.
Another Waynesboro Rotary Christmas Parade is in the books, and they seem to just get better and better every year! Thank you to Mr. Phil Garner of Buffalo River Services for the great parade photos.
