Waynesboro City Honors David Edwards Legacy

Posted

The first golf hole at the Waynesboro Municipal Golf Course has been dedicated to David Edwards. After a suggestion from current Golf Course Superintendent Matthew Brewer and City Manager John Hickman, the Waynesboro City Commission unanimously agreed that David should be recognized and remembered for his dedication and efforts. He successfully managed and was the overseer of the golf course from 2007-2020.

From David’s obituary: “David Edwards was a man of service, having honorably served in the United States National Guard for nine years and working his way to Sergeant with the Tennessee Highway Patrol. He was a member of the Waynesboro FOP. In his free time, most will remember his time spent on the golf course and his love of the game. David Edwards passed away on January 31, 2025.”
