Truck Crashes Into Collinwood Drugs

A terrifying crash at Collinwood Drugs on Friday did serious damage to the building, but thankfully, no one was injured.

The Collinwood Police Department reported that at approximately 3:23 p.m. on Friday, February 28th, a 2004 Chevy Colorado driven by a 74-year-old Wayne County man accidentally drove into the front of Collinwood Drugs. There were four employees and two customers inside the store when the accident happened.

Aside from being very shaken up, neither the driver of the truck nor the people inside the store were injured. Repairs to the store began almost immediately following the accident, and the drugstore reopened for business on Saturday.

The Collinwood Police Department declined to release the driver’s name.
