Spring Festival in Waynesboro is Saturday, May 3rd

Posted

The winter season certainly has its charms, but let’s be honest - by the time the groundhog creeps out of his burrow in early February, most of us are pulling hard for “no shadow” and the promise of an early spring. By the middle of March, the start of spring, we use any excuse to get outside to celebrate the fact we survived another season of wet, gray, and cold weather. Fortunately, these spring days have gotten much warmer and the flowers are blooming, so “spring fever” has taken hold! Waynesboro is set to welcome the warmer days by celebrating the spring season with the Annual Spring Festival this coming Saturday, May 3, from 9am until 3pm.

The festival will take place on the Waynesboro square. It is situated to welcome vendors offering a wide array of items, including homemade crafts, home décor, clothing, fresh baked goods, snacks, and other food items.

It’s not too late to participate as a vendor! It’s a great fundraising opportunity for civic clubs, non-profit organizations, ball teams, church groups, school clubs, etc. If you, or someone you know, would like to participate as a vendor, contact Melanie Schardt, host of the event, at 931-332-0756, or stop by Small Town Sweets on the square. Vendor spaces will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spaces must be paid for ahead of time in order to be confirmed. Setup will start at 8am on the day of the event.

Everyone is invited to participate and attend. Spring has arrived! See you there!
