After months of anticipation, it’s finally time for Pullin’ in the Wood! This event is the one and only truck and tractor pull held in Wayne County every year, and many look forward to the roar of trucks and tractors echoing through Collinwood.
Pullin’ in the Wood is coming to town this weekend on Friday, September 5th and Saturday, September 6th. Hosted by the City of Collinwood and the Collinwood Beautification Board, the annual event will undoubtedly draw big crowds back to Collinwood once again.
The antique pull is coming up first on Friday, September 5th. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., when everyone can start enjoying the food, games, and craft booths that will be set up at the event. The pulling will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 6th will be the official Mid-South Pullers truck and tractor pull. Gates will open again at 5:00 p.m., with pulling to begin at 7:00. The local truck sled pull will be on Saturday night only. There will be two classes, the diesel truck class and the gas truck class.
Pullin’ in the Wood will be held again this year at the far end of Dixie Youth Park in Collinwood. The street address is 101 Bratton Drive for out-of-towners who may need to plug it into a GPS. Be sure to get there early for parking, and be sure to bring your lawn chairs for seating.
