ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The City of Waynesboro is accepting bids for the Water Line Replacement on Wayne Street from Helton Street East to Green River Drive. Bids should be submitted by June 18th, 2025, at 1 p.m. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope to the “City of Waynesboro, P.O. Box 471, 122 Public Square East, Waynesboro, TN, 38485.” Each envelope should be plainly marked with “Bid – Wayne Street Water Line Replacement.” Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at that time.

“This project is being supported with the American Rescue Plan (ARPA), Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) Grant Program and is administered through the TDEC State Water Infrastructure Grants (SWIG) agency. Therefore, certain restrictions and other federal requirements attach to this opportunity.”

The work for which bids are to be submitted consists of furnishing all labor, materials and performing all work required for the Water Line Replacement on Wayne Street from Helton Street East to Green River Drive, as described herein and as specified in the plans. The City of Waynesboro reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to waive technicalities or informalities, and to accept any proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Waynesboro. No bid shall be valid unless signed. No bid shall be accepted by fax machine.

All bidders must be licensed General Contractors to perform the type of construction herein described as required by the Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 62, Chapter 6. In accordance with TCA 62-6-119(b) all bidders shall include the license number, expiration date thereof, and license classification of the bidding contractor and sub-contractor on the outside of the envelope containing the bid; otherwise, the bid shall not be opened or considered. No award of any contract will be made to any firm or individual that is currently debarred by the State of Tennessee.

BID NOTICE

The Wayne County Highway Department is now accepting bids for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 (effective July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 **unless otherwise noted). Our annual bids include- Asphalt (hot mix), pavement markings, emulsion, culverts, rock, tires, oil and lubricants, blades and teeth, cold patch, and bridge timber. Specs on these can be found in our bid packets. Bid packets are available for pickup at the Highway Department at 315 Hog Creek Road, Waynesboro. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Wayne County Highway Department on June 25, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. The awarding of the Fiscal Year Bids will be no later than July 1, 2025. All bidding vendors will be notified upon the awarding of the bids.

All bids must be SEALED and MARKED – “2025-2026 FISCAL YEAR BID.” All bids submitted must be signed and dated by the submitting vendor’s representative. Bids may be mailed to the Wayne County Highway Department, P.O. Box 472, Waynesboro, TN. 38485 or delivered to the Highway Department office at 315 Hog Creek Road, Waynesboro, TN, by the above-mentioned date and time.

NOTICE OF SUBSTITUTE TRUSTEE'S SALE

STATE OF TENNESSEE, LAWRENCE COUNTY

THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO COLLECT A DEBT, AND ANY INFORMATION GATHERED IN CONNECTION HEREWITH WILL BE UTILIZED FOR THAT PURPOSE.

WHEREAS, default has occurred in the performance of the covenants, terms and conditions of a Deed of Trust Note dated September 27, 2022, and the Deed of Trust of even date, securing said Deed of Trust Note recorded on September 28, 2022 in Record Book 692, at Page 207 as Instrument No. 22006619, in the Register's office of Lawrence County, Tennessee, executed by Charles Slack and Lisa Slack, conveying certain property described therein to Frank Alvstad, as Trustee, for the benefit of Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc. This being the same property conveyed to James A. Adams and wife, Teresa K. Adams by Quitclaim Deed dated February 2, 1990 from United States of America of record in Deed Book 247, Page 48, Register`s Office of Lawrence County, Tennessee.

This being the same property conveyed to Charles Slack and wife, Lisa Slack by Warranty Deed from James A. Adams and wife, Teresa K. Adams of record in Record Book 692, Page 205, Register`s Office of Lawrence County, Tennessee.

The sale of the property described above shall be subject to all matters shown on any recorded plat; any and all liens against said property for unpaid property taxes; any restrictive covenants, easements or set-back lines that may be applicable; any prior liens or encumbrances as well as any priority created by a fixture filing; a deed of trust; and any matter than an accurate survey of the premises might disclose; and

If a high bidder fails to close a sale, the Substitute Trustee shall have the option of making the sale to the next highest bidder. The sale held pursuant to this Notice may be rescinded at the Substitute Trustee’s option at any time.

The sale will be conducted subject (1) to confirmation that the sale is not prohibited under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code; and (2) to final confirmation and audit of the status of the loan with the holder of the Deed of Trust. This property is being sold "as is.” Additionally, no representation as to the condition of any structure(s) thereon or the accuracy of the above legal description is being or has been made. Transfer taxes and recording fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.
