Paving Project Transforms Waynesboro Square Overnight

Drivers on the Waynesboro square faced somewhat of a quandary on Monday night, July 21. Each exit from the square was blocked by the paving company completing the resurfacing project we told our readers about last week. They aspired to and were able to successfully pull off the complete resurfacing of pavement all around the square, along with repainting all parking space lines and lane divider lines. The square was completely redone by Tuesday morning.

The Waynesboro Police Department came to the rescue, helping drivers navigate the square and the detours necessary to get where they were going.

It’s smooth driving now around the square, and drivers can look forward to South Main Street onto Highway 13 South being in great shape when the project is completed. Although a great deal of patience is required during the milling and paving process and the stop-and-go traffic to be encountered along the way, it will most certainly be worth it in the end when that large section of roadway is upgraded.
