Mr. Patrick McLean “Mac” Stanfield was born August 8, 1949 to his parents, the late Mr. Otis Stanfield and Mrs. Jimmie Carroll Stanfield. He was raised in Wayne County and developed a deep connection to the beauty and peace of the outdoors. He attended and graduated high school from Wayne County High in Waynesboro, TN. After his scholastic career he proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He, being a hard worker, would spend the rest of his occupational years working for the Tennessee Valley Authority as a lineman until his retirement. Mr. Stanfield was a spiritually minded man as he was a devoted member of the County Line Church of Christ. He held a strong conviction toward a conservative mindset which he exemplified in his life. Later he would meet his future wife Ms. Jennifer Brewer and the two would marry on January 02, 2003 and remain married until his passing, sharing their families and hearts throughout the years. Mr. Stanfield loved the outdoors, especially farming. He loved spending time in nature surrounded by the beauty of the land and working his cattle. Still nothing in life compared in his heart to the moments he spent with his family, friends and loved ones. Mr. Patrick McLean “Mac” Stanfield passed from this life in Wayne County on June 02, 2025 making his stay on this earth some 75 years, 9 months and 25 days.
Those left to cherish and honor his memory include his wife of 22 years Jennifer Brewer Stanfield; sons Drew Casteel and wife Hannah and Preston Casteel and wife Ann Marie; siblings Tommy Stanfield and Molly Davidson; grandchildren Landan, Layla, and Laytan Casteel; as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Billie Jo Jones, Della Sue Butler and Martha Ann Burton.
Funeral services with the Stanfield family were held at 2:00 pm on Friday June 6, 2025 at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation chapel with Brad McKinnon officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Hope cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers included Ricky Davidson, Steven Turney, Doug Butler, Chandler Prince, James A. Casteel and Landan Casteel.
