Mary Jane Gallaher Dicus, age 79, of Clifton, TN, departed from this world on April 4, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Magnolia Gallaher.
Jane's journey through life was enriched by the love she found in her marriage to Roy Edward “Boose” Dicus on February 24, 1961. Together, they created a beautiful life filled with joy and laughter until his passing on June 2, 2015.
Throughout her life, Jane embraced a variety of roles and careers with unwavering dedication. She began her working journey as a cashier at Kelly’s Food Town, then became the proud owner of Jane’s Beauty Shop. Her adventurous spirit led her to serve as a Fire Range Instructor at both Wayne County Bootcamp and CCA. Not one to shy away from challenges, she also contributed her talents to the Clifton Medical Clinic as a secretary and managed the Dollar General store. Each role she undertook was marked by her commitment to excellence and her kind-hearted nature.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Jane was a vibrant member of the Riverbend Cloggers, where she shared her passion for clogging and dance. She loved teaching others this joyful art form, spreading happiness and rhythm wherever she went. Her creativity flourished in many hobbies, including traveling, shopping, beading, sewing, and various crafts, showcasing her artistic flair and loving spirit.
She is survived by her sons, Ted Dicus (Cheryl Rena) of Waynesboro, TN, Dale Dicus (Vickey) of Collinwood, TN, and Sam Dicus of Clifton, TN; daughters, Venieca Welch (Ronald) of Clifton, TN, and Kim McIntyre (Tim) of Todd, NC; sister, Jeannie Daniel of Lawrenceburg, TN; brother, Jerry Conway of Onalaska, WI; grandchildren, Gator Thompson, Garyn McIntyre, Wayne Brewer, DJ Haddock, Daiken Dicus, Tiffani Dicus, Derrick Boucher, Kailee Mutters, Payton Boucher, McKenzie Boucher, and Jamie Staggs; and great- grandchildren, Jackson Thompson, Max Thompson, Brianna Brewer, Savannah Brewer, and Alex Haddock.
In addition to her mother and husband, Jane was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Bundrant.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Mt. Carmel Church in Clifton, TN with April Greer and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Clifton, TN.
Pallbearers were Ronald Welch, Kenneth Templeton, Michael Risner, Wayne Brewer, Daiken Dicus, Jackson Thompson, Max Thompson, Gator Thompson, DJ Haddock, and Payton Boucher.
