It's Football Time In Tennessee, But Not Quite The Way We Like It:
(First and foremost I want to say we absolutely enjoy Tennessee Football here in the Volunteer State, and we’re definitely glad it's kicking off during these dazed and confused times. Even if it is a little late.)
“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...Well that's how I feel. Like we've all woke up in a movie. What I do know at this time ((BTW it can change daily and also Gameday probably won't be coming to your city) is the Vols open-up play on Saturday night, September 26th in South Carolina. Maybe to an empty Williams-Brice stadium. Something no one in Big Orange country could ever imagine. I plan to be back here (in the W.C. News) week by week after the season starts. So for now let's take this 1 game at a time due to circumstances beyond our control!’
Sept. 26,
The Volunteers march 6 feet apart into a giant birdcage to play their 1st game of 2020 on the road. This may be a good thing since we normally play So. Carolina two-thirds the way into the season and it's always a struggle. At least for now we're not playing Florida the 1st game. As Han Solo once famously said, “Sorry about the mess.”
