Mr. Larry Keeton Thompson was born March 9, 1944, at his home in Wayne County, TN, to his parents, the late Mr. John Thompson and Mrs. Marjorie White Thompson. Larry spent his childhood surrounded by the beauty of nature and learning a great appreciation for the wondrous environment God has created, a love for the outdoors that would last a lifetime. In his young adult years, he met his wife, Mrs. Carol Joyce Staggs, and the two would forever intertwine their hearts, families, and lives on August 7, 1970, choosing Wayne County as their forever home, raising their family in the admonition of the Lord as Mr. Larry was of the Baptist faith. He was a hard worker and excellent provider for his family in various capacities such as a dump truck driver, farmer, and construction worker until his retirement. In his leisure moments, he could be found coon hunting, deer hunting, rabbit hunting and raising coon dogs, but he held no other moments in his life closer to his heart than the time he spent with his children and especially his grandchildren.
