Independence Day Celebrations Across the County

Posted

The cities of Collinwood, Clifton, and Waynesboro are finalizing plans for their Independence Day Celebrations as we gear up for America’s 250th Birthday.

The first big Independence Day Celebration in Wayne County will take place on Thursday, July 2nd, when Collinwood holds their 250th America’s Birthday Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular at Ralph Hughes Park. Hosted by the Collinwood Beautification Board, the celebration will offer food trucks, free live music, and more. Gates open at 3:00 p.m. and the music will begin at 5:00 p.m. The Fireworks Spectacular will take place after the skies turn dark, and are promised to put on a fabulous, colorful display. Admission to the park is free.

Clifton Main Street, Rotary Club, and Chamber of Commerce invite everyone to a Community 250th Birthday Lunch at Clifton Gazebo Park on Friday, July 3rd. From 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., there will be FREE hamburgers, FREE hot dogs, desserts, and drinks for everyone. This meal certainly speaks “4th of July!”

Proudly sponsored by the City of Waynesboro and Wayne Halfway House, the 250th Anniversary of America and Independence Day Celebration promises to be better than ever! Gates open at Waynesboro City Park at 5:00 p.m., with live music from Danny Davis and Ben Daniel beginning at 6:00 p.m. Headliner Emily Ann Roberts will take the stage next, and will perform until the Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 9:00 p.m. There will also be food trucks and free activities for all to enjoy. Admission to the park is free.
