Mr. Doyle Fay Risner was born February 12, 1935, in southern Wayne County to the union of his parents, Mr. Howard Risner and Mrs. Alma Keeton Risner. During his formative years, he would spend his childhood surrounded by the nature that would come to develop the passion for the outdoors, particularly farming, that would shape a large part of his life. He attended school in Collinwood and graduated from the Collinwood High School with the class of 1952. After graduating high school, Mr. Risner served his country in joining the United States Army. Mr. Risner would spend his occupational years as a mail carrier until his retirement and as a cattle farmer. Later in his adult life, Mr. Doyle would meet and marry his wife, Mrs. Janet Risner, on March 25, 1994, forever intertwining their hearts, lives and families. He and his wife attended the First Baptist Church in Collinwood, TN. Those who knew him will remember his love for horticulture and farming. He loved planting strawberries to sell to the public and visiting with his customers. Mr. Risner loved working his cattle and loved watching the seeds he planted grow, whether it be strawberries, bushes, or flowers. However, he held no other moments closest to his heart than the moments spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his great- grandchild.
