Clifton VFD Teaches Students About Fire Safety

Posted

October is recognized as Fire Prevention Month, and the Clifton Volunteer Fire Department did a great job last week talking to Clifton Pre-K through 2nd graders about fire safety. Fire Chief Mike Chilcott led the program, and school staff said the students had an amazing time learning all about fire safety. They even got to explore a real fire truck, which made their day extra special.

Some FHS parents commented on how much the kids enjoyed the day learning about fire safety. “This was great!” said one parent. “Remi must have listened really great…he told me all the rules for fire safety.”

“Love this!” said another parent. “Skylar came home telling me our new safety plan and what to do if a fire happened. She even loved her glow-in-the-dark hat!”

“We are so grateful for our wonderful community partners who take the time to teach and inspire our students,” FHS staff posted on the FHS Lions Pride Facebook page. “Thank you, Clifton Volunteer Fire Department, for all you do to keep us safe!”
