Angelia Faye Skelton Jones

Posted

Angelia Faye Skelton Jones was born in Dickson, TN to her father, the late Mr. Jimmy Cleveland Skelton, and her surviving mother, Mrs. Anita Faye Harrington Skelton, on January 17, 1964. Shortly after her birth, her family relocated to Waynesboro and made Wayne County their forever home. Angelia spent her childhood in the Waynesboro area attending school, graduating from Wayne County High with the class of 1982. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time gardening and admiring the beautiful scenery the area offers, often drawing the landscapes and forests she saw in nature. She had an artistic flair and would often draw images she held close to her heart, not only of her environment but also crosses and Christian images as she was of the Christian faith. However, those who knew her best will always remember her talent in the culinary arts. She was an excellent cook, but everyone’s favorites were her “fried pies.” Angelia also possessed a love for people as she worked as a Certified Nurses’ Assistant for more than 20 years, caring for the elderly and less fortunate until she herself became disabled and was no longer able to perform her beloved occupation. Still nothing in life compared to the time she spent with her precious grandchildren. Mrs. Angelia Faye Skelton Jones passed from this life surrounded by her family at the Loving Care Assisted Living Facility in Waynesboro, TN, making her stay on this earth some 61 years, 4 months and 13 days.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Anita Faye Skelton; son, Jimmy Nicholas Skelton and wife Amber; sisters, Sherry McDonald and husband John, Lisa Garrett and husband Michael, all of Waynesboro, TN, and Regina Boyd and husband Michael of Linden, TN; grandchildren, Rylee Townsend, Cali Townsend, Kambria Skelton, and Jack Cleveland Boyd all of Waynesboro, TN; as well as many other family, friends, and loved ones.

Visitation with the family was Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation chapel from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm.
