WMS Ladycats are State Champs! WMS Wildcats are Runners-Up

   The Waynesboro Middle School Lady Cats and Wildcats participated in the championship game of the James C. Haile Basketball Tournament on Saturday, January 30th. The Lady Cats defeated the Watertown Lady Tigers with a final score of 48-22, making the WMS Lady Cats 2021 James C. Haile Champions!

   Members of the Lady Cats team are Rosalee Martin, Emma Bryant, Ava Ashley, Raegan Crews, Blair Baugus, Addison Maghielse, Mary-Grace Littleton, Presley Daniel, Addi Odle, Lou Prater, Carley Rodney, Maggie Lee, Caroline Reeves, Kinsley Miller, and Sydnie Brewer. Coaches are Scott Ashley, Molly Ashley, and Christy Bryant.

   The Waynesboro Middle School Wildcats were named the 2021 First Runners-Up of the James C. Haile Tournament after falling to the Celina Bulldogs by a score of 48-32. Members of the WMS ‘Cats team are  Justice Bell, Cayman Camfield, Drew Bevis, Baker Bryant, Sayler Skelton, Cayson Castleman, Logan Davis, Will Robertson, Brady Stooksberry, Warren Camfield, Peyton Dixon, Isaac Hampton, David Ullman, Nate Bevis, Case Butler, Brayson Harris, and Daylan Van Fleet. Coaches are Michael Camfield and Chris Skelton.—Submitted
