The Waynesboro Middle School baseball team had a successful season this year, finishing second in the district. In regular season play, they finished with 8 wins and 3 losses, and overall 9 wins and 4 losses.
On March 5, they opened the season hosting the Clifton Lions. They won 11-0. Pitching for the Wildcats were Drew Bevis, Brady Stooksberry, and Logan Davis. On April 19, the Wildcats traveled to Loretto for the first round of the District Tournament where they faced Ethridge. The Cats came out victorious winning 13-3 to advance to the Finals. The Wildcats faced the South Lawrence Stallions in the Championship on April 20 and again suffered the loss finishing the season as runner up in the District.
