Mrs. Winnie Fay Nowlin, age 84, of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, was born on August 18, 1935 in Wayne County, Tennessee. She passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Humphreys County Nursing Home in Waverly, Tennessee. Mrs. Winnie attended the New Johnsonville Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a compassionate caregiver to her son Danny.
Survivors are son, David E. Nowlin (Debra) of Waverly, TN; daughters, Patricia Nowlin Owens (Kenneth) and Pamela Gunn (Greg) of New Johnsonville, TN; brother, Jerry Horton (Gail); sisters, Emanola Holt and Sally Kate McWilliams (James Q.); grandchildren, Amanda Owens Merideth (Paul), James R. Nowlin (Anne), Kenny Owens (Shelly), Sarah Nowlin West (Blake), Connor Gunn (Julia); ten great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Virgie Morris Horton of Wayne County, TN; husband, Billy E. Nowlin; son, Billy “Danny” Daniel Nowlin; siblings, J.R. Horton, Charles Horton, Helen Horton Callahan, Evelyn Horton Wilson, Wayland Horton; son-in-law, Ricky King.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in the chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Keele officiating. Interment followed at Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN.
