Willie Lee Griggs Arrested on Methamphetamine Charge

   Willie Lee Griggs, age 37, of Collinwood was arrested on Monday, October 19^th on charges of manufacture/delivery/sale/possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer Jonathan Kelly of the Waynesboro Police Department filed a report stating that he performed a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Griggs for running a stop sign. Officer Kelly’s report states that he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and asked Griggs for permission to search the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, Officer Kelly allegedly located 18.6 grams of methamphetamine and two glass pipes commonly used for smoking meth. Griggs was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $80,000.00 bond.
