   William Edmond Howells was born August 18, 1929 in Hokendauqua, Pennsylvania, the son of the late John and Marian Young Howells. He was united in marriage to Mary Magdalene Hughes on September 4, 1948. Mrs. Mary Magdalene Hughes Howells preceded him in death on December 29, 2003. Mr. Howells departed this life on October 15, 2019 at his home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 1 Month, 27 Days.

   He is survived by three daughters, Gail Foulke of Allentown, PA, Joan Howells of Slatington, PA, Donna Floyd of Waynesboro, TN; a brother, Richard Howells of Kentucky; a sister, Ginny Lamm of Michigan; five grandchildren, Brenda Seaborn, Craig Foulke, Chad Foulke, David Floyd, William Howells; seven great-grandchildren, Derek Seaborn, Dillon Seaborn, Zane Seaborn, Autumn Foulke, Sydney Foulke, Tanner Foulke, Harper Howells.

   In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Howells was preceded in death by a son, William Edmond Howells, II; two brothers, John Howells and Rolland Howells; three sisters, Sylvia Seip, Marion Brungard, Betty Eichelberger.

   Services were held on Saturday, October 19 at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro with interment following in the Centenary Cemetery in Lutts, TN.

  Visitation was on Friday, October 18, from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m.
