The Wayne County High School lady cats claimed the District 10-1A Softball Tournament Championship on Tuesday, May 10 as they defeated the Trojanettes of Collinwood 12 – 2. The lady cats had previously defeated both Collinwood and Culleoka to advance to the finals.
The lady cats won their three tourney games by the total scores of 31 – 2. Members of the All-District team were Kenzie Griggs, Michaela Gallian, Savanna McClain, and Kelsey Carroll. The lady cats will host their first-round region game Monday the 16th.
