Waynesboro Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

   Kirari Ann Smith, age 39, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Tuesday, August 17th on drug-related charges. The arrest report filed by Deputy Austin Lanier states that he performed a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a male subject who was known to have a revoked license. Consent was given to search the vehicle, and Deputy Gabrielle Austin patted Smith down, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Deputy G. Austin allegedly removed a container from Smith’s bra that contained a glass pipe with a burned residue inside, along with 13 grams of marijuana. Smith then allegedly removed another container from her bra that contained 0.8 grams of methamphetamine. Smith was arrested on charges of possession of schedule II (meth) with intent, simple possession of marijuana, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $87,500.00 bond.
