Waynesboro Woman Arrested for Methamphetamine

   Jaclyn Shearleen Garrett, age 40, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Saturday, October 10th, also following a traffic stop. Officer Jonathan Kelly of the Waynesboro Police Department performed a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by Garrett for having a tag light out. When Officer Kelly approached the vehicle, he allegedly noticed the odor of marijuana, and asked Garrett to step out of the car so that he could perform a search. The search of Garrett’s vehicle allegedly resulted in Officer Kelly finding two plastic baggies containing approximately 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, along with a glass meth pipe. Garrett was arrested on charges of possession of schedule II methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $80,000.00 bond.
