Waynesboro Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

   Johnathon Lee Vaughn, age 28, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Sunday, April 11th on multiple charges. The arrest report stated that Sgt. Bryant Burcham and Sgt. Michael Byrd of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence on Highway 99 in Waynesboro to serve a prior arrest warrant on Vaughn, and Vaughn allegedly jumped out of a window and ran from the officers. Vaughn then allegedly broke into a shop building and tried to hide from the officers. After ignoring commands to come out of the building, the officers pulled Vaughn out and placed him into custody. A search of Vaughn’s pockets allegedly revealed a glass meth pipe and approximately 1.18 grams of marijuana. Vaughn was arrested on charges of resisting stop/arrest, burglary, simple possession of schedule VI marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and evading arrest, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $33,500.00 bond.
