Waynesboro Man Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

   Johnathon Lee Vaughn, age 28, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Sunday, April 11^th on multiple charges. The arrest report stated that Sgt. Bryant Burcham and Sgt. Michael Byrd of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office went to a residence on Highway 99 in Waynesboro to serve a prior arrest warrant on Vaughn, and Vaughn allegedly jumped out of a window and ran from the officers. Vaughn then allegedly broke into a shop building and tried to hide from the officers. After ignoring commands to come out of the building, the officers pulled Vaughn out and placed him into custody. A search of Vaughn’s pockets allegedly revealed a glass meth pipe and approximately 1.18 grams of marijuana. Vaughn was arrested on charges of resisting stop/arrest, burglary, simple possession of schedule VI marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and evading arrest, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $33,500.00 bond.
