Waynesboro Man Arrested for Assault, Resisting Arrest

   James Keith Staggs, age 38, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Monday, December 21st on charges of domestic assault, aggravated domestic assault, and resisting arrest. Deputy Spencer Ray filed a report stating that he responded to a call of an alleged domestic dispute between Staggs and Staggs’ wife. During the dispute, Staggs allegedly struck his juvenile son in the face, and allegedly shoved his juvenile daughter and displayed a knife in a threatening manner. When Deputy Ray instructed Staggs to turn around and place his hands behind his back, Staggs allegedly resisted. Staggs was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $102,500.00 bond.
