Waynesboro Man Arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault

   Stefan Blake Overton, age 28, of Waynesboro, was arrested on Thursday, February 4th on charges of aggravated domestic assault and possession of schedule IV Clonazepam. The arrest report filed by Sgt. Bryant Burcham of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office stated that Overton was allegedly in possession of a gun and was threatening to kill himself. When Sgt. Burcham arrived on scene, Overton was walking away up a hill from a creek, and allegedly tried to hide a bottle of Clonazepam that contained 13 pills. Prior to Sgt. Burcham’s arrival, Overton allegedly assaulted his father by hitting him several times, causing him to have to go the hospital. Overton was arrested and booked into the Wayne County Jail on $52,500.00 bond.
