The Wayne County Museum Committee met on Monday, December 13, 2021 for their regular meeting. President Babe Staggs called the meeting to order at approximately 6:15. Dean Stegall read the minutes from the November meeting, and Jerry Duren gave the treasurer’s report.
The first order of business was a discussion about the water leak in the building next door. Jerry gave a detailed report and hopefully the problem can soon be resolved.
Babe read a card the committee had received from Glendon Davis expressing his appreciation for the stone in his honor that had been added to the Music Walk of Fame.
Plans for the addition of Wayne County Sports Hall of Fame were discussed. The committee expects to accomplish this project by spring.
Guest, Kenneth Davis, was introduced. Kenneth presented two checks to the museum and thanked the Wayne County Museum Committee for the Music Walk of Fame. Kenneth shared memories of the Davis Brothers’ musical career. His stories were enjoyed by all.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting will be January 10, 2022.
