Waymon Lorine Creecy Dixon was born April 11, 1940 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Lawrence F. and Katie Odle Creecy. Mrs. Dixon was a caregiver and attended the Collinwood Church of God. She was united in marriage to William Dixon who preceded her in death on October 23, 1993. Mrs. Dixon departed this life on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 11 Months.
She is survived by sons, Dennis Dixon, wife Angie, Randall Dixon, wife Regina, and Marshall Dixon all of Waynesboro, TN, and James Dixon, wife Carol of Lawrenceburg, TN; grandchildren, Jamie Partin, Jeremy Fountain, John Dixon, Amy Workman, Will Dixon, Destiny Dixon, Jacob Dixon, Adam Dixon, Deja Dixon, Dylan Dixon, Cheslie Dixon; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Jean Dixon; son, Frank “Bug” Dixon; sister, Wylodean Pulley; and a brother, Edward Creecy.
Services were held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Roger Risner officiating. Burial followed in Shields Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family with arrangements.
