Walonda Nicole “Nickie” Dugger Pope of Waynesboro, TN was born April 17, 1982 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of Ruby Odom Rostas and the late Harold Wade Dugger. Nickie was a food service director with ABL Management, Inc. and was a member of Phillips Chapel Church in Waynesboro, TN. She departed this life on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at University of Alabama, Birmingham Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 40 years and 18 days.
Ms. Pope is survived by her two sons, Tyler Michael Pope of Hohenwald, TN and Tanner Hayes Pope of Waynesboro, TN; her mother, Ruby Odom Rostas and husband, Rick of Waynesboro, TN; her brothers, Joseph Dugger and wife, Megan of Hohenwald, TN, Sandy Joe Dugger and wife, Hayden of Bolivar, TN, Wayland Lowe and wife, Betthany of Waynesboro, TN and Kenneth Page and wife, Emily of Canton, MI; her sisters, Jennifer Cotham and husband, Derek of Hohenwald, TN and Amanda Staggs and husband, Travis of Muscle Shoals, AL; her nieces and nephews, Caiden Cotham, Enzlee Cotham, Sawyer Staggs, Sophie Staggs, Landon Dugger, Grayson Dugger, Carter Dugger, Zoie Beth Dugger, Jaxon Lowe, Lila Lowe, Lydia Lowe, Jacob Page and Madelyne Page. In addition to her father, Ms. Pope was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nona Mae Brewer Dugger, Joe Dugger, Sandy Willis Odom, and Mary Helen Hinson Odom.
Funeral services for Ms. Pope were held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Casey Jones officiating. Burial was in North Highland Cemetery near Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County assisting the family. Pallbearers were Joseph Dugger, Sandy Dugger, Wayland Lowe, Derek Cotham, Travis Staggs and Caiden Cotham. Visitation was Saturday, May 7, 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
