Wallace Earl “Fub” Holder

   Wallace Earl Holder “Fub” was born on November 16, 1931 in Peters Landing, Tennessee and passed away on November 27, 2019 in Linden, Tennessee. He served in the United States Air Force and the National Guard. He became a Christian in 1960 and became a deacon of First Baptist Church in Clifton in 1963 and faithfully served his church for 50 years. For more than 30 years he worked in the towboat industry, majority being with Crounse Corporation. He served as president for Perry County Co-Op and Perry County Farm Bureau. “Fub” enjoyed spending time with family and friends and spending time on his farm.

   Preceded in death by his mother Mary Josephine Lineberry Holder and father John Jefferson Holder, his brothers Winfred and Bill Holder, and sisters Rothie Nell Holder Moore and Hazel Holder.

   He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Villa Sue Prater Holder, daughter Vickie Holder Lineberry and husband Charles of Clifton, TN; sons, Jeffrey Holder of Ledbetter, KY and Jason Holder and wife Brandi of Clifton, TN; brother Hollie “Babe” Holder of Clifton, TN; grandchildren Victor Lineberry, Amber Lineberry, Bree Holder and Gavin Holder; great-grandchildren, Nate and Sophie Lineberry. In addition Mr. Holder is survived by a host of nieces and nephews

   Services were Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee, with Randall Runions officiating. Burial followed in the Clifton Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family.

   Visitation was Friday, November 29, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm and Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 9 am to service time at First Baptist Church, Clifton, TN.

   Pallbearers were Victor Lineberry, Michael Prater, Norman Holder, Grayford Franks, Jerry Prater, and Donnie Warren with Ricky Wheat, Johnny Riley and Rex Lineberry serving as honorary pallbearers.
