Mrs. Virginia Corene Holt Daniel departed this life on July 14, 2020 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama at the age of 80 Years, 6 Months and 15 Days. She was born December 29, 1939 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Bud Harrison and Beatrice Viola Burks Holt. She was united in marriage to Harlen Ray Daniel on May 4, 1957. Mrs. Daniel was a retired housekeeper for Green Oak Inn and was a member of the Millrock Freewill Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband, Harlen Ray Daniel; son, Dennis Ray Daniel, wife, Linda; and daughter, Debra Holt, all of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Keith Daniel, Chris Daniel, and Brandon Holt, wife, Kristie; great-grandchildren, Hunter Caperton, Jayden Daniel, and Carson Holt; brothers, Terry Glen Holt, wife, Marie, of North Carolina and Jerry Don Holt, wife, Darlene, of Cypress Inn, TN; sisters, Ruth Walker of MO, Morene Coble, Lorene Brisson and Betty Cummins all of NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by brothers, Charlie, James, and Gary Holt and sisters, Clarice and Margaret Holt.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County, Collinwood, Tennessee with Joel Wallace officiating. Burial followed with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County, assisting the family. Visitation was on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 10:30 am until service time at Shackelford Chapel, Collinwood. Pallbearers were Brandon Holt, Chris Daniel, Jayden Daniel, and Nathan Daniel.
