Vada Elizabeth Jones Wright was born on Wednesday, October 27, 1926 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Marshall Abner Jones and Flora Mae Copeland Jones. Miss Vada Wright worked for many years as a social worker for Harbert Hill Academy Nursing Home, then worked doing home health care, and was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Waynesboro, TN. Miss Vada Wright departed this life on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 94 years, 9 months, and 26 days.
She is survived by a son, James Marlon Wright of Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Junita Reeves of Cherokee, AL; four grandchildren, Laura Jean Crouch, Michelle Elkins, Jerimiah Seth Wright, and Constance Wright; and nine great-grandchildren, Cody Lane Crouch, Ryan Crouch, Ethan Crouch, Austin Dodd, Haley Elkins, Kayden Elkins, Alissa Wright, Bryan Pounders, and Ricky Dale Pounders.
In addition to her parents, Miss Vada Wright was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren Jones and Marshall C. Jones; and two sisters, Nellie Mae Berry of Florence, AL, and Ova Jean Jaynes.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later time.
