Two Arrested After Board of Probation & Parole Makes Home Visit

   Elijah Richard Lee Ferguson, age 21, and Chastity Lynn Pitts, age 36, both of Waynesboro, were arrested on Wednesday, June 2nd after methamphetamine was allegedly discovered during a home visit to Ferguson’s residence by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Board of Probation and Parole. The report filed by Sgt. Bryant Burcham stated that an inside search of Ferguson’s residence revealed 4.6 grams of methamphetamine, three glass pipes, and a set of digital scales containing meth residue. The report stated that neither Ferguson nor Pitts, who were both present inside the residence at the time of the search, would claim the methamphetamine. Ferguson was arrested on charges of manufacture/delivery/sale/or possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $85,000.00 bond. Pitts was arrested on one count of manufacture/delivery/sale/or possession of methamphetamine, and was booked into the Wayne County Jail on $75,000.0 bond.
